Malaga

Today, the city of Malaga is very important for the Andalusian tourist industry. It has still maintained a lot of its historic culture and is witness to the Muslim invasion of the 8th Century.

The province of Malaga has 160km of coastline. The landscape inland has more than 15 officially protected areas classified as nature reserves.

Malaga is also good for shopping- the main street is called Calle Larios- and this is always beautifully decorated at Christmas time. August is the time of the year for the Malaga fair (feria) and you will find the local people dancing and singing in Calle Larios in traditional Spanish dress.
